Work from a couple weeks ago @calirootskavalounge in Long Beach 🧊 This new business hired us a couple months ago on a retainer package and it’s been an awesome time coming up with new concepts and project ideas with them for new menu items and seasonal launches as well as promotional items and specials ✅ One thing we keep hearing is the lack in initiative currently in the market to help business grow by going above the expectation and serving the business instead of just charging the business. We noticed a while back that going above and beyond for clients will always result in them getting more attention on their business and in turn will keep us coming back to help them month after month. It’s not always about the money in this business. Once you can grasp this concept business just starts to take flow naturally.

Follow us for a day in the life of a cinematic food production company🔥 Every production has a key role to fill. Whether it be assisting the kitchen to fix some issues with the visual presentation, or being eyes for the director as to what might be in the frame that doesn’t suit making the business look the absolute best. Everything matters✅ A key takeaway from yesterdays shoot was the lighting setup and the “night” scene we were aiming to paint with those lights. A lot of people talk cameras, sensors, open gate etc, but not enough talk kelvin, intensity and even green and magenta shifts when it comes to making sure the food doesn’t lose it’s visual consistency scene to scene. What’s something else you think makes food look it’s best on camera??

Today’s day on set with the team @ another retainer client location in Pico Rivera CA. Continuous lighting and flash photography are some of our go to’s when shooting food. One thing we notice helping restaurants out with their content is the lack in consistency when it comes to businesses visual marketing. This is why typically once we establish a look that a client prefers we know exactly what our final image is meant to look like so use different lighting techniques to showcase them the proper way. Let us know what lighting you prefer to use on set? Are you just video or photo too?‼️

Making food look cinematic.. a term I researched for a longggggg time lol I remember watching other creatives ig to get inspiration to make videos like this. I remember long nights of literally dissecting other filmmakers work to get a better understanding of what equipment they were using, how they were using it and what made it look “cinematic”? Now this is not a reel to tell you how we’ve already gotten there and clients are rolling in like no other. As a matter of fact it’s a more transparent one to tell you that cinematic doesn’t always pay the bills. With media shifts and time crunches for deadlines to hit numbers, some days it feels like people value quantity content vs. quality. All that said however we refuse to fit in. We prefer to stand out and do what no one else is attempting to do. So if you’re reading this and find yourself sometimes having to shoot projects that aren’t necessarily what you dream of in order to keep going to get to your passion projects, it’s all good. We don’t stop when we’re tired. We stop when we’re done. Keep going !

Today we had the privilege of working a new restaurant and the experience definitely grew the team in terms of atmosphere, lighting and how to food style more efficiently while moving quick and fast. When it comes to restaurant content there are a lot of tips and tricks we use to showcase our clients food the most appetizing way while still staying true to their voice and vision for the business. Our bts camera man was on point with showing our process start to finish. Any questions you know what to do 👊🏽

@captureone is definitely a tool we bring out for those bigger budget productions where the final image has to be approved by the team✅ There is nothing worse than when the deliverables aren’t what the client wanted and you fall short of their vision and never get called back because no one approved the images on set. This way of professional flash photography is not only a gamer changer on set but will guarantee the client is happy and you keep getting the call back for another shoot and another 🙏 Feel free to comment your questions and we’ll get back to you as best we can

Had the privilege of getting invited to shoot @superkingmarkets Grand Opening of their Culver City location🙏 This was a great event. We brought out two videographers and a photographer to dial in the vision‼️ On the A cam we had Asher on the Fx30 with the the Sigma 28-105 I was on the B cam alternating between the Sigma 24-70 and Sony GM 70-200 ii on the FX3 send us your questions if you got any. Another day for Azusa Again🙏 Had to bring out the rest of the gear to help out the guys from tiring out. Monopods have been a piece of equipment we’ve been using in tight situations when limited with space. Any questions dm us

Full camera setup for Azusa Again in Los Angeles for @socal_upci This church conference was a last minute ask and we were able to make it happen with our current church setup @wordaflameministries . Setup and tear down including our OBS platform takes about 1-2 hours including sound and lighting (that takes a different setup time). Any question you have just let us know.
